U21 Mixed Doubles:
One winner from each qualifier location will advance to the Ontario Winter Games, Renfrew County, February 24 – February 27, 2022.
U21 Mixed Doubles – 20 years of age or under as of June 30, 2021
Coach Certification Standards:
All coaches will be required to complete Mandatory Training (see below) and have a valid Criminal Record Check on file with the Ontario Curling Council valid for the entire duration of the competition (qualifiers + provincials). Coaches needing to obtain a Criminal Record Check can do so online.
Only coaches with the standards outlined below will be granted on-ice access (practice/breaks/timeouts) during competitions.
U21 Mixed Doubles: Certified Competition Coach
Only athletes who are members of a CurlON or NOCA Affiliated curling club are eligible to enter the competition. Team members do not have to be members of the same curling club. Teams are welcome to play in any of the six open qualifiers. Age and gender rules for the disciplines apply as per discipline rules.
Substitutions of one player may occur between Qualifier and OWG for Mixed Doubles. Alternates are NOT permitted at any level of the event. This is due to athlete quota at the Ontario Winter Games itself.

Ideally, before the team is registered in the event all Curlers AND Coaches on the team must have a Curler Profile – this is where Participation Agreements and Rowan’s Law acknowledgements will take place. If not done prior to team registration, then must be done after.
