The Ontario Curling Council is responsible for providing High Performance Services in Ontario to develop athletes in the Training to Train to Training to Compete Stages of the Long Term Athlete Development Model (LTAD).
Together with Curling Canada, the Ontario Curling Council will work to advance the skills of athletes through direct athlete training and coach development. Programs and training opportunities will vary based on the age/stage of athlete and placement on the Curling Canada’s Gold Medal Profile (Olympic Podium benchmarks). Some programs may be subsidized, some may be user pay.
The Ontario Curling Council will also leverage High Performance Opportunities from multi-sport providers including but not limited to;
- Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario (CSIO)
- Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries (MHSTCI)
- ParaSport Ontario
