The Ontario Curling Council operates several competitions on behalf of its membership due to the nature of the events being developmental, parasport and/or province wide events.
The Ontario Curling Council operates the following events:
Ontario Winter Games
- Provincial Qualifiers
- Four disciplines – U18 Boys, U18 Girls, U20 Mixed Doubles and Wheelchair
- We are the sport governing body who liaises with the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport’s Games Committee
- Every two years, the next games are scheduled for 2020
Canada Winter Games
- Provincial Qualifiers
- Provincial Finals
- U18 Boys & Girls, U20 Mixed Doubles with winner going to the Canada Winter Games
- Age determined by the Canada Winter Games rules
- Every four years, the next games are scheduled in 2023 in PEI
ParaSport Winter Games
- Invitational event based on previous provincial finishes
- Opportunity for new teams to enter through a lottery system
- Wheelchair and Visually Impaired Curling
- Next Games: February 3-5, 2023
Ontario Wheelchair Curling Open
- Elite Competitive event for wheelchair teams
- Open to teams from out of province/country
- First come, first served
- Next Event: November 25-27, 2023 – Toronto
Curling Canada U15 Challenge Cups presented by Ontario Curling Council
- New developmental competition format
- Age category: U15
- Triples, Singles, Fours event focused on developing more well-rounded athletes
- Multiple sites across Ontario
