Ontario Curling Council announces “Return to Training” Next Gen 2020-2021 Teams

The Ontario Curling Council is pleased to announce the teams/athletes it will support through its “Return to Training” Next Gen Program for 2020-2021. The Next Gen Program for 2020-2021 was undersubscribed, so we are pleased to be able to announce that all eligible teams who applied will be supported in some fashion. Applications now being Accepted for 2020-2021 Next Gen “Return to Training” Program

The Ontario Curling Council is now accepting applications for it’s 2020-2021 Next Gen “Return to Training” Program. This year’s program will focus on supporting teams with their training, so that when we are able to return to competition, we are ready. Program Scope The Ontario Curling Council will support ten (10) teams and four (4) individuals in their training efforts for the 2020-2021 season. 2019-2020 Next Gen Program Teams Announced

The Ontario Curling Council is pleased to announce the following teams have been selected to the Ontario Curling Council’s 2019-2020 Next Gen Program. Tier 1 Teams will be supported through the Canadian Sport Institute of Ontario’s – Ontario High Performance Sport Initiative. As explained in the initial Call for Applications – the program has been opened in a limited capacity due to stakeholder investment levels being unknown. OCC Application Period for Next Gen Program Now Open

The Ontario Curling Council thanks everyone for their patience in waiting for the launch of the 2019-2020 Provincial Next Gen Program. While some uncertainty on the program size still exists, the OCC will start by accepting 10 teams into the program, with a further acceptance of more teams later in the summer. Applications are now being accepted until July 31, 2019 at 9:00 am. Next Gen Program Teams Announced for 2018-2019 Season

After careful consideration of Next Gen Program applications received the Ontario Curling Council’s High Performance Team have determined the following teams will be in the 2018-2019 Provincial Next Gen Program.  Please note, there were a lack of applicants for Tier 1 programs, so the High Performance Team opted to offer the positions to a Men’s team and a Women’s team.   Tier 1:  Next Gen “OnTrack” – Supported by the Ontario High Performance Sport Initiative (OHPSI) operated by the Canadian Sport Institute
